MP Shopix Setup Guide

1.Installation

Joomla 1.5+ Installation

Important: After downloading and extracting the template package the Joomla 1.5.x installation file can be found here:
/mpShopix/joomla1_5_version/mp_Shopix.zip

Step One: Log into your backend
Log into your Mambo/Joomla backend.
You reach the log in page by typing the following URL:
http://www.yourjoomlamambopath.xyz/administrator
into your browser Replace yourjoomlamambopath.xyz with your URL.

Step Two: Open the template installer
Click on “Extensions->Install/Uninstall” to access the installation page.

Step Three: Select the template installation file from your HD
Hit the “search” button and select the template installations file form your HD. IMPORTANT: The downloaded .zip archiv from www.pixelsparadise.com is not the installation file. It includes additional files and different installation files for different template versions. So you have to extract the downloaded file to your HD first. The real template installation file(s) looks like mp_templatename.zip, not mptemplatename.zip!

Step Four: Upload and install it
Hit the “Upload File & Install” button. Wait a while. It can take up to some minutes, depending on your internet connection and the templates size.

Step Five: Activate it
Activate the Template from your Template Manager. Click on “Extensions->Template Manager” to open it. A list of all installed templates appears. Mark the radiobutton in front of your new installed template and hit the “Default” button in the upper right corner.

2.Module Setup

2.1 Module Positions

The MP Shopix template provides a total of 9 modulepositions for a unlimited number of modules

Left: Left side module column
Right: Right side module column
Top: Top area above the maincontent. For the header image
Bottom: Modules below the main content
User7: Bottom left module
User8: Bottom center module

2.2 The Header Image Module

headerDuring the template installation the header image is already installed. To publish it as module log into your admin backend and click on "Extensions->Module Manager" and hit the "new" button in the upper right corner.
A config screen for a new custom module appears. Give it a name but disable the "show title" function. Select as moduleposition "header" and add the following image path:

2.3 Main menu setup

In order to get a horizontal aligned mainmenu like on our live demo site you have to publish your mainmenu module on position "user3" and to disable the modules titel. To do this access your modulemanager again and select the "mainmenu" module from the list. Hit the "edit" button in the upper right corner and the modules config screen will appear. Disable the "show title" function and change the moduleposition from "left" (<- default value) to "user3". Save the changes.

To display a menu on the right side of the mainmenu publish a menu module on position "advert".

3.License

„One website“ License Informations

Terms and Conditions:

The pixelsparadise.com "one website"-license guarantees a restricted usage of the
commercial templates for EXACTLY one website.
The "one website"-license is a non-exclusive license. The commercial templates are
sold through our web site in accordance with the following Terms and
Conditions issued by pixelsparadise.com

1.Modifications:
You are authorized to make any necessary modification(s) to our products to fit your
purposes, including the removing of any copyright signs.

2. Unauthorized use:
You may not place any of our products, modified or unmodified, on a diskette, CD,
website or any other medium and offer them for redistribution or resale of any kind
without prior written consent.

3. Limited usage granted:
You may use each individual product on a single website only, belonging to either
you or your client. You have to purchase the same template once more in order to
make another project with the same design.

4. Shipping:
After receiving your payment you'll get an e-mail which includes your personal download ID. You can use this ID to download the ordered file from your account at pixelsparadise.com.

5. Updates:
pixelsparadise.com has no influence on the development of Mambo Open Source or the Joomla! CMS. All
templates are always designed for the latest version, but we can give no warranty, that
the templates will run with future versions of MOS or Joomla!.

6. Ownership:
You may not claim intellectual or exclusive ownership to any of our products,
modified or unmodified. All products are property of pixelsparadise.com. Our products
are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. In no
event shall our juridical person be liable for any damages including, but not limited to,
direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or other losses arising
out of the use of or inability to use our products.

7. Assignability:
You may not sub-license, assign, or transfer this license to anyone else without prior
written consent from pixelsparadise.com.

8. Refund policy:
Since pixelsparadise.com is offering non-tangible irrevocable goods we do not issue
refunds after the product is shipped, which you are responsible for understanding
upon purchasing any article at our site. We only make exceptions with this rule when
the product appears to be not-as-described on a case by case basis in agreement of
the parties concerned. The deadline for any refund claim is one week after the
delivery date.

Our company reserves the right to change or modify current Terms with no prior
notice.
